How It Started The inspiration which started For Poor and Homeless began when I visited a major Southern California city and saw so many poor and homeless people on the streets asking for money and food. I'm originally from this city but had moved in 2006. In 2006, it was widely known that much of the poor and homeless people lived on Skid Row.
On my vacation to this major city in 2016, I had the chance to return to many of my favorite sights and I could barely believe my eyes when I saw so many poor and homeless people living in more places than I could count yet it seemed that no one was helping them. I'm sure that these poor and homeless people were not aware of all the free resources and organizations that are available to them. That's when I decided to start this endeavor--to start this online resource website for the poor and homeless so that they could hopefully find the help they need to have a better quality of life and find a way to get out of their poverty and homelessness. |
Who We Are |
This is a Catholic online website which contains an extensive list of free and low-cost resources and organizations throughout the nation that help the poor and homeless. It is available to any person of any age, religious denomination, race, culture and gender. We encourage and invite companies and organizations to list their available resources on this bulletin board so that we can make these important resources available to the people that need it most. Any poor and/or homeless person/family can use this bulletin board to get important information which will help them.
We try to list free resources and organizations but many are low-cost resources as well. We are constantly updating information so it is important that people who are facing poverty and homelessness return to this site often to acquire the latest information on resources available to them. |
