way, you can apply for a free cell phone at the businesses that we have listed
on this bulletin board. This will become important to you because many times
you will have to communicate with employment agencies, jobs and housing
places.
3. Stay in a shelter--It is important that you find a free shelter or another housing
location where you can stay so that you are not exposed to dangerous situations
or to the weather elements. Be sure to find a free shelter by searching by city
and state for the locations nearest to you. If you are receiving any type of public
assistance, you may be able to apply for public housing throughout the U.S. Click

4. Volunteer at a business to acquire job experience--It is necessary that before
you look to volunteer for a nearby business that you have good hygiene and wear
nice clothes while you are applying and working in a volunteer position. You can

5. Find a soup kitchen to eat free every day--Go to our Free Food section to locate
a free soup kitchen or pantry near you.
6. Find a place to take showers and take care of your teeth every day--You may be
able to take showers at your local shelter or at these locations. It becomes
very important that you take showers and take care of your teeth every day
so that you can maintain proper hygiene and decrease the chance of getting
sick or ill.
7. Get free medical and dental check-ups every 6 months--It is important that you
get a proper physical every year and have your teeth cleaned every 6 months to
prevent illness and disease. You can find free/low-cost medical clinics and free/
low-cost dental clinics in our bulletin board.
8. Start working on an employment resume in order to apply for a job--You can
work on updating your education skills by taking free certificate courses, free
job training, internships and by adding your volunteering to your resume. You
can work on getting a job eventually by adding new education and job skills to
your resume. You can create a new resume here and then print it out at your
local library. Then, you can make copies of your resume to have it handy to pass
out to perspective employers or volunteering locations.
9. Actively apply and obtain a job (perhaps from where you currently volunteer--It
can be somewhat easier to get a job once you have volunteered for a while at a
business because you have updated your job skills and perspective employers
know that you are still actively looking for a job. If you can't find a regular job,
you can look for paid internships or apprenticeships where you can get paid
on-the-job training while you learn job skills.
10. Apply for and get permanent, low-cost housing--Once you obtain a new job, you
can begin to apply for and eventually get permanent, low-cost housing. You
